Information from this Institution

Institution´s policy on Unit Grades

Unit grades will *not* form part of the conditions of offers at the University of Sussex. Where unit grade results are known and are available as part of the application, the University may make use of them as part of the selection process. However, we will not make assumptions about the absence of unit grade information and, in selecting applicants, the academic reference and the predicted grades provided by the school or college will remain important. It is anticipated that the real use of unit grade information will be during the Confirmation period in the summer (when A level results are published). At this time, it is expected that unit grades will be considered as part of the process of selecting between applicants who have missed their conditions but have the same overall grades. If the University has space to admit some students who have missed their conditions we would anticipate making use of unit grade information to differentiate between these borderline applicants.

Interviews

Interviews are only required for Social Work and the research placement degrees in Physics. Occasionally however other applicants will be interviewed.
