The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) is bringing all qualifications in Scotland together in a unified framework of credits and levels. Honours degrees are at SCQF level 10, degrees without Honours are at level 9, HND and Diploma in HE are at level 8, and HNC and Certificate in HE are at level 7. The University of Paisley is in the process of developing many of its programmes to be offered on a combined basis, either Joint (50:50) or Major/Minor (75:25). Contact the University for an update.
In August 2007 University of Paisley and Bell College Hamilton merged to create Scotland´s biggest modern university. From 30 November 2007 the institution will be renamed University of the West of Scotland. For session 2008 entry however, you should apply to the merged institution using the Paisley P20 institution code and appropriate campus indicator.
