The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) is bringing all qualifications in Scotland together in a unified framework of credits and levels. Honours degrees are at SCQF level 10, degrees without Honours are at level 9, HND and Diploma in HE are at level 8, and HNC and Certificate in HE are at level 7. The detailed admissions process for each programme may change from year to year. The School prepares admissions guidelines booklets annually for each programme and applicants are encouraged to contact the Academic Registry for the most up-to-date information. Alternatively, applicants can check the School´s website at www.gsa.ac.uk

In exceptional circumstances, the School may admit applicants who have fewer than the stated academic qualifications but whose portfolio of work demonstrates outstanding potential.

These programmes are studied jointly at The Glasgow School of Art (G43) and the University of Glasgow (G28).
